steamboat @RedWok Bangi

It's been awhile, isn't it?

Kakak was infected by fever buy then she passed it to me. Tebby went out-station to Cheringin on Monday. Came back home on Tuesday and on Wednesday he was off to Melaka until Friday. Work-front, I've been busy last week but I am not complaining. Coping and so far, liking it :D Except on those two days last week when my lappy's keypad failed to respond. I couldn't even log in!

Anyway, last Friday, like almost Fridays, we had dinner outside. Went to RedWok.

Tomyam and sup ayam. You can choose to have Korean Sizzling Steamboat ot just steamboat. We always opted for just steamboat. For no reasons.

They have the best of roast chicken. The skin crispy while the flesh tender and juicy. My wajib pick kalau datang makan steamboat kat sini.

Last Friday, no repeat. That was when we first noticed Kakak tak sihat. So makan cepat-cepat, bayar and balik.

starting over II

New boss reported in last Monday.

Asked. Boss baru macamana? Okay?

Well, having been in the working life for the past 16 years (Almost anyway. Has it really been that long?), reported to 7 different direct supervisors my answer would be - Everyone has his/her own style, strengths and weaknesses. Bear in mind one important thing - when you can't adjust the wind, adjust your sail.

My second lady-boss and my first younger-than-me boss. Yeah I am old. My last 3 series birthday this year! *gulp*

Had a makan-do at Al-Diafah the other day. Farewell for ex boss (and UPNM interns). The shortest period between me and a supervisor. Only one year and a half I think.

Lamb Mandy! Ai cinta! Al-Diafah has always been one of my favorites. From rice to kebabs to drinks (almond milk! I loike) - always just right.

Flowers for my x-boss. Either you beranak, pencen, or transfer out baru dapat these okay :D

UPNM students. Spent 6 months with us. Shy, these guys. Sometimes I forgot they were in my office. Very quiet okay. Now dah masuk kem balik kot. Good luck guys!

Kebabs! When I was having badddd spell of morning sickness when I was pregnant with Adam, ni je lah yang berkenan kat tekak. Gigih Tebby u ols membeli benda ni hihi.

My first serving. Had few additional that I lost count. But my colleague confirmed that I had at least three! Wei, aku nampak hang makan sampai 3 kali. Oh well...

Cerita pasal boss lama boss baru tapi gambar semua makanan? Motif? Hi hi..

more randomness!

I'll be away for an office affair for 3D2N next two weeks. Somewhere I've never been to - Cameron Highland! So kesian kan. Orang dah berpuluh kali turun naik :D

Yang, I kena pegi Cameron Highland, ada convention C**.
Okay, nanti tolong belikan I strawberry kering tu. Sedap. Tak manis, tak masam sangat.

Oh well. How thoughtful.

Anyway, we lunch-dated few weeks back. @Noodle Station MidValley. Tebby's S3 acted up and sent to a kiosk for repair (can you believe kat Samsung nyer outlet tu yang kat Gardens tu, the salesperson takmo layan, with long sour face - kau ni kerja line customer servis, like hello?? begone with that kind of attitude please!) While waiting, makan dulu.

I had this kue-tiaw thingy. Mild gravy with bits of taucu. Not pedas at all. Serving is tad bit too small though :P

Tebby's. Kuetiaw goreng extra pedas. Second plate. First one got hair! Adoilah.

Anyway, back to my original story..
You okay with the kids?
Dah tu keje kan. Boleh je.
Jangan lupa strawberry tu tau. Macam bersira tapi bukan basah.
Ada orang bawak gi ofis haritu, sedap pulak.

Oh well.

lunchie @Muhibbah

En route to our getaway at One World last week (read here), plan to pit-stop for lunch. Dolly was half-opened. Sambal Hijau was packed with people. Terus aje ke Muhibbah. - one of our favorite Chinese Muslim eatery. Last we went there, just the two of us, was last March (Read here)

This time, we brought along the whole troop. Ala, macam la ramai sangat. Lima orang je pun :D

Daun kah? Ikan kah? Bulu kah?

Belum apa-apa lagi si Adam nak wee-wee. Nasib toilet bersih dan wangi. Macam dalam taman pulak tu...

Couldn't help but to notice!
First customer, first class parking hihi. Betul-betul depan entrance. That's not me btw, that's my anak dara.

Anak Dara dan Pak Dara

Lala in ginger and garlic. Tembam-tembam betul lalanya.

Ikan, tapi bukan yang miang :D
Sotong goreng. Celup tepung.
Guess what! Pucuk paku! Ni sayur premium. Masa kekecik dulu selalu makan, bukan sebab 'the premium-ness' but sebab it could be found in abundant tepi-tepi jalan, FOC. Kerabu sejuk (cold salad - direct translation :P). Pucuk paku celur, added with slices of bawang merah and jus limau nipis. Drizzled with santan pekat. I'd opt for kerisik instead of santan, if I'd given the chance to pick.

comfort

Such comforting food.
Warm chocolate cake.
With melted chocolate inside.
Topped with contrastingly cold scoop of vanilla ice-cream in chocolate shell.
Drizzled with chocolate syrup.

Loved ones digging in.
Such comforting sight that I took a seat back and just watched.

little dinner @Bangi Kopitiam

Adam was a little unwell Friday last week. Been coughing with little fever. Neb sesssion scheduled twice daily for 3 days. Morning and night.

We normally have some family-time dinner outside every Friday. So before neb session, it was makan-makan session. I was craving for nasi arab and tried to persuade everyone to go to Barada, Iman protested. Eventhough his meal selection has expanded considerably, nasi arab is not (yet) included. So we ended up eating at Bangi Kopitiam, opposite Barada, just across an alley.

My latest favorite drink - limau suam!  Not too hot, and most importantly not cold. As long as no bitterness, I'm okay. In another glass, Tebby ordered soursop juice, if I'm not mistaken.

Barada - seen from Bangi Kopitiam *look with longing feeling*

This was my dinner. Chicken curry with quite a commendable portion of a chicken drumstick! Eaten with steamed thick bread. Bolehlah. I was still hungry after dinner btw :P

Iman attacking his egg-on-toast. No matter what drink he ordered, he always finished with plain water. And he doesn't drink carbonated ones. Good boy Iman.

Kakak and Tebby ordered the same thing. Some kind of megi looking noodles with fancy name written in the menu.

Alhamdulillah everyone came home filled and fulfilled. Except for me since that portion was too small for my gastronomic desire :D

Have a great weekend ahead peeps!

family lunch @Amarin

Cozy place to have lunch with loved-ones. Awesome food. (Well, almost always anyway as their omelette a bit too oily. After 2 times, we have stopped ordering that)

Have I announced here that Iman's food selection has expanded? And still is expanding! I am one happy mother. That day he ordered watermelon juice! Rather than his usual milo and teh-o. Kakak had apple juice.

*cinta* :D

Oblivious. Occupied with newly acquired 'knockout' (suku sakat Transformers). 'Car! Car!' he ordered. Car it was then. 'Robot! Robot! he ordered, robot it was transformed to then. After few rounds 'Adik, Adik makan tu je nanti kalau asik nak tukar-tukar'.That was me, in case you're wondering.

My usual pick of drink whenever we dine at Amarin - hot lemon tea. Came in small teapot. Two cups. Or was it three?

Fried rice that came with fried chicken. One slice of cucumber and one slice of tomato. Sprinkled juice from that slice of lime. It did made a difference. We ordered 3 of this. One for Kakak, another for Iman. The 3rd one was shared between me and Tebby. Makan sepinggan - cinta atau dietkah? :P

We also had beef and kailan between us. Beef was super excellent. I guess the beef slices were pan-fried then served with some kind of sauce. Typical Thai sauce. Sweet, sour, hot. Pleasing and torturing.. all at the same time.

Too bad pan fried oyster was not available. We've tried it once and it was super-good. I had few sessions running to the loo afterwards tho :D Tapi nak order lagi... Pleasing and torturing at the same time I guess!
