easy-peasy (or lazy?) dinner :P

We rarely have full-fledged dinner. That's a habit from Tebby's side. Heavy breakfast, heavy lunch and light dinner. Though I adopt that idea and practice that (and we have sort-of passed it down to the kids), I would always be the old-me whenever we go balik kampung - my kampung. Rice for dinner. Full-fledged dinner with hot steaming white rice, lauk and sayur. Sambal kuini or bacang when they are in season or sambal tempoyak. Homemade sambal tempoyak! Just can't resist sambal, petai, jering, ulam kampung.. And my mom's fried fishes are always the best. Same fish, same cooking method but done by different people always turn out differently. Agreed?

Anyway, back in KL, light dinner. Example, scrambled-egg with sardine. The kids favorite. They always finished this off when done by Tebby and politely said they are full and leave some portions whenever it was my turn preparing that :P

Easy peasy vege. Tasted at Isetan they other day and we're hooked (we = me and Kakak). Heat some garlic-butter, add some mushroom, stir-fry kejap and siap!

Scrambled-egg with sardine sandwich and fried mushroom. Simple, easy but fulfilling dinner. Or lazy dinner. Whichever ways you see it :D
